Visitor is the most well known mountain in Plav and a staple in the Accursed Mountain Range. The peak towers 2,209m above the small mountain town and has an amazing view of Lake Plav and the surrounding area. This hike serves as the perfect way to spend the day in Plav. HOW TO GET TO VISITOR MOUNTAIN
Visitor is easily accessible from the town of Plav. To get to the trail cross the bridge at the entrance of the town of Plav and head towards Gusinje. Take the second turn on your right side. Follow the road and bear left.
NAVIGATING THE TRAIL TO VISITOR MOUNTAIN
As you can see on the right side of the image above, there is a road that you can take about half way up the mountain. If you have a proper vehicle for this off-road drive you can take the drive. If you do not, hike the road until it ends. From here the proper hiking trail begins.
Follow the trail marked with red and white trail markings. Be sure to stick to the trail because the terrain is very steep and can get dangerous. It will take you about an hour to get to the top from where the dirt road stops.
Once you reach the top you will be greeted by a fantastic view of the surrounding area. Be sure to soak it up and snap some photos. Always remember to start heading back down before dark.
